Partnerships-team

Our team: Mario Antonio Giannini (PM), Anahi Muller, Rui Tenreiro, Julia Danilkiewicz

We are now at a point where nothing big can happen with new partners since the event is in 2 days. We connected with lots of big and small companies and we got a small amount of them. We learned a lot but the time we spent learning also limited our time when we understood how to talk to companies and how to use this knowledge. Now the team is finalizing what we accomplished with the companies we got (Stuk, Atracta, Studiobarnhus) and organizing the "sound room" for the DJs in collaboration with marketing. A good note to keep in mind when working with partnerships could be the following: start 2 fundraisings from the very beginning, one for a good charity cause to connect to our values, and one to gather money for our project to have a budget for future ideas. Make an analysis of our social media statistics to sell to partners when it comes to social media partnerships. We also saw that the partnership and marketing teams should be one big team divided only into 2 subgroups but constantly working together. Entities like physical museums need to understand their role in a potential collaboration because they have a lot to lose when it comes to driving people to virtual spaces. Creating connections is essential to this job but when at the very beginning of this job an experienced professional can make the difference when it comes to how to talk and what to offer to partners and this person could step out as soon as he/she gives these basic guidelines. This person can also add trust to an early bird project where nothing is certain and nobody knows what will happen. Apart from lots of frustration due to the will to bring big names to this opening ceremony and the reality in contrast with our expectations, we learned a lot. We are very happy about the experience and for the teamwork. We did what we could and next time we'll do better. This will be an experience we will remember for a long time and that we will make us happy for the chance we got to be part of it.

A few more companies showed their interest in working with us. We're also working on a description for our charity work. It's going gooood!

Today our ad went live on Katarinahissen! Congratulations to the whole cp team!

How to write a quick note about everything you did today when it's at least a 2 pages long story? You use bullet points!

  • Said "no" to our DJ

  • Will be getting another artists. Among them - our classmates (hopefully)!

  • Did a few calls with our companies. Trying to get some sponsors for the artists and charity!

  • Made a video for the Katarinahissen

  • Brainstormed more partners that we could assign to each team's room

  • Did a few meetings with our team

..and did a music check out! :)

We had a very intense day, full of meetings and discussions. We also did some calls, meetings.. and got another "YES"! I guess we're gonna throw a party on the opening day because we managed to get a DJ on board! The artist was actually very very nice and eager to work with us so we're happy and excited! We got invited to stream / record the set but the problem is that we don't really know much about streaming.. But I guess we'll have to learn real quick!

Today we got our first "Yes" from a company! It made us really motivated. It's a big step on our journey with partnerships.

More meetings! (Existential question - do we even need that many meetings?)

We're starting to get many answers but most of them are unfortunately a no. One person in our team got a brilliant idea of getting our museum merch and donating the money we earn to a charity. Since setting up our own shop would require a lot of time we're thinking of doing a collab with already existing brands.

(05.11.2020 + 06.11.2020)

Today we're having a day full of meetings, we're contacting more companies, doing the manifesto. Quite a busy day!

We got our first reply from a company interested in working with us!

(04.11.2020)

New day - new update!

We started making a manifesto and started sending out emails to the potential partners! We're writing personalized messages to them, trying to put the concept of our museum in nice words and basically get them to talk to us! Wohoo! It's going great so far!

The manifesto is going great as well. We decided to go for a graphic instead of a word document. A bit of a creative solution since our manifesto person is more of a visual than text person :)

We had a very useful meeting with a student who was in our position a year ago. Our questions got answered and laughed a bit together!

Here's the (automatically updated) list of brands we're reaching out to:

(03.11.2020)

We organized our workflow a bit more - everyone in our team got at least one responsibility. With roles assigned we're ready to roll!

We created a list with some brands we'd like to contact. Tomorrow we'll share it!

Last week we started our adventure as a team with a POD, started working on values of our museum, researching companies we'd like to contact and writing an example of the press release. We created a poll for other members of the CP team to vote for the values. The final ones were:

Boldness, Diversity, Innovation, Authenticity

Now, when we know the winners we can move forward and research more brands / judge whether the brands we've already found match our values or not!

What we're working at atm:

  • Researching more brands, putting together a list of them
